▶ On June 20, the Council of the European Union approved a decision regarding the signing and provisional application of the amended Agreement between the EU and Ukraine on the road transport of goods.
▶ The Agreement has been updated to include the possibility of its suspension in the event of serious problems in the road transport market. ▶ Additionally, controls have been increased to more effectively eliminate illegal transport, and provisions have been introduced requiring drivers to have appropriate documents (transport licenses) and vehicle markings. This aims to improve oversight and strengthen the enforcement of the Agreement’s regulations.
? The Agreement has been extended for another year, with the possibility of automatic extension until the end of 2025.
ℹ A similar agreement has been signed with Moldova.
