?The European Commission has released a guidance document detailing the application of the rules of origin within the EU-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, effective from May 1, 2024.
ℹ️According to this agreement, EU exporters sending consignments of products originating in the EU valued over EUR 6,000 must provide a statement of origin. This statement enables importers in New Zealand to benefit from preferential tariff rates.
▶️To issue this statement, EU exporters must be registered in the REX system and include their REX number on the document.
