鈻讹笍 At the beginning of October, we present a summary of the regulations published last month.
鉁旓笍 At the end of September, one new classification regulation was issued:
1锔忊儯 Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2525 of 23 September 2024 on the classification of certain goods under the Combined Nomenclature. 馃敇 This concerns the classification of underwear, which is part of a two-piece „incontinence management system” (underwear and absorbent inserts) designed for both genders. It should be noted that the underwear is presented separately for customs clearance.
馃敇 The reasoning behind the classification excludes heading 9619 due to the lack of absorbent properties and the inability to confirm the essential character under code 96190089, i.e., intended for persons suffering from incontinence. The classification assigned under code 6108 22 00 (women鈥檚 and girls’ underwear), as a similar product, is determined by the appearance and material of the item. The regulation provides a description of the product and its images.

馃搼 Binding tariff information that does not comply with classification regulations, in situations and under the conditions specified in Article 34(9) of the Union Customs Code (EUR-Lex – 02013R0952-20221212 – EN – EUR-Lex (europa.eu)), may be applied for up to 3 months from the date these regulations enter into force.
